A Touch of Trek is a Minecraft resource pack that Star Trek fans are going to be delighted with because it replaces a lot of the game’s textures and gives them a Star Trek themed touch. It’s important to remember that, unlike traditional resource packs, A Touch of Trek doesn’t give all the textures of Minecraft a complete overhaul so quite a few of the textures are going to remain as they are and, due to this, this pack is recommended for players who are interested in doing Star Trek themed builds instead of the players who want to travel through a game world that’s been redesigned entirely.
As for the actual quality of the textures, A Touch of Trek doesn’t cease to impress. The amount of detail in the textures is quite impressive, and they do an excellent job of replicating Star Trek themed visuals in the world of Minecraft. Noise is something that the pack deals with quite nicely since none of its textures have any noticeable amount of noise in them and, in turn, they look highly appealing. The color palette of A Touch of Trek seems a bit off from time to time since the pack tries to apply Minecraft’s vanilla colors to the sci-fi themed visuals of Star Trek but, all things considered, this is a fairly negligible issue as it doesn’t affect a large number of the pack’s textures.
A Touch of Trek has the standard Minecraft resolution of x16, and this is to be expected as the textures of this pack are going to co-exist with a lot of vanilla Minecraft’s textures so a resolution discrepancy is something that can’t occur in this particular case.
