Arcana RPG Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10

Have you ever heard of the Arcana game from back in the SNES days? It had mazes and dungeons, cards used to create magical effects and many RPG elements all tied together to make a solid, if linear, game. Well, the Arcana RPG Mod for Minecraft is nothing like that. While it does add some flashy magical spells and particle effects, this mod isn’t at all based on the SNES game with which it shares a namesake. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though, especially when you look and see this mod adds not one, not two, but four new, distinctive dimensions for players to travel to and explore.

They aren’t all just copies of one another either – the differences between these dimensions are as pronounced as those differences between the End and Nether realms in vanilla Minecraft. This mod will probably bring the Aether mod to mind since that was one of the first mods to do custom dimensions really well. Instead of cards and a stock spell system, the Arcana RPG Mod gives you a special magic meter which replenishes over time and is exhausted in part whenever you cast a spell. There’s a second row of armor slots too for keeping track of Protection effects. It’s very convenient.

With a solid 24 new structures, ruins and dungeons to navigate, the Arcana RPG Mod could be exactly what you need to make Survival mode fun and fresh again. It will take you several hours at least to see all of the new content available in this mod, so if that’s the sort of mod you love, then you’re in the right place. There are new bosses, potion effects, enchantments and more, so even if you don’t like exploring so much, there’s still a lot of new stuff to see here.
