ArchitecturalBlocks Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.8.9/1.8

Take your Minecraft back to the 1930s with the ArchitecturalBlocks resource pack. As of right now, there are many resource packs for Minecraft that give it a futuristic look or simply enhance its current look in various different ways, and these packs are pretty great. However, there are hardly any packs for players who want to give their game an old school look. Fortunately, the ArchitecturalBlocks is here to fill that niche, and it definitely does an excellent job at it. The pack has been out for less than a week now and has already received quite a bit of medical acclaim.

The ArchitecturalBlocks resource pack does what it does mostly by reducing the brightness of its textures a bit. The usual Minecraft textures are quite bright and using the same color palette for this pack probably wouldn’t have worked which is why they’ve been toned down to match the theme. However, one thing worth mentioning is that while the pack is near completion, it still isn’t fully complete yet so you might notice a few textures missing here and there but, fortunately, this isn’t that big of an issue since the pack does have most of the crucial textures that define the game.

To make the most out of the ArchitecturalBlocks resource pack you need to have MCPatcher installed because it’s very important for some of the packs elements. MCPatcher isn’t completely necessary since the resource pack will still function without it but if you do use it without the patcher then you’re going to notice the absence of quite a few important aspects, so it’s recommended that you have it installed before applying this pack in order to have the best possible experience that it has to offer.
