Whoever came up with the Bee Barker mod is probably also a fan of The Simpsons. That could be the only show on TV which ever referenced a “dog with bees in its mouth so when it barks it shoots bees at you”. This mod adds a very similar function to the wolves of Minecraft, at least if you’ve tamed them. By feeding your four-legged friends numerous flowers, you’ll be able to fill their stomachs with bees and get them ready for use in combat. There doesn’t seem to be a maximum count for bees per dog, but don’t try to overfeed the little guys.
Once your wolf has eaten some flowers, you can pick them up off the ground, taking them into your arms as if you were giving them a hug. The only thing is, when you tug the wolf’s tail, it will launch bees right out of its mouth and after whatever you both happen to be looking at when you fire. The bees don’t trace their targets, so you’ll need to line up your shots well if you want them to land, just like if you were using a bow and arrows to attack from a range.
You’ll want to grab up your wolf and use it as soon as possible after feeding it the ammo it needs to become a bee barker. With the Bee Barker mod installed, wolves will fire bees randomly at enemies when they are at a distance, sort of like how skeletons fire at things that come too close. They will revert back to melee attacks once they run out of bees, but if you bring a pack of dogs with you while adventuring and constantly feed them all flowers, it’s almost like having a crew of machine gunners covering your back wherever you go.
