Bucket Storage Blocks Mod for Minecraft 1.9/1.8.9/1.8

The Bucket Storage Blocks mod is perfect for those who enjoy building moats of water or lava or otherwise do a lot of construction using these two liquids. As any Minecraft vet can tell you, carrying buckets of liquid is the worst since each full bucket takes up an inventory space. There’s no stacking them, though you can stack the empty buckets once you dump the contents. Maybe that’s just to be annoying? Well, this mod adds a block to Minecraft, which you can empty an infinite amount of water or lava into. Then you can pick up the block and move along with your cargo.

After placing it again, you can mine the bucket storage block to get back the liquids inside, bucket by bucket. This process does take several minutes if you have an inventory full of buckets, but this is infinitely preferable to the hours it would take you to run back and forth between your building site and your lava and water sources. The Bucket Storage Blocks mod provides a feature you don’t see in other mods, and on top of that it’s actually a useful one, so a lot of players will probably want to give this mod a try. It’s designed for Minecraft 1.8 and up and requires Forge to work as well.

While there are lots of other mods which add different types of liquids to Minecraft, unfortunately, the Bucket Storage Blocks mod hasn’t been built to work alongside those yet. The storage blocks will only accept water or lava, at least until further updates are made and mod compatibility becomes a more important aspect of the mod. Overall this is an excellent mod which you probably won’t be able to copy by using another mod. It’s unique and useful, and that’s enough to give it high marks.
