Champions is an exceptional mod that’s been designed to enhance the combat experience that players get while facing mobs in the world of Minecraft. Minecraft’s combat certainly has a lot of good things going for it but, from time to time, the fights can feel rather stale against certain mobs because players have to rinse and repeat the same attack patterns over and over again until the mob is dead. Fortunately, though, Champions is a mod that remedies this issue by adding exciting new elite mobs that are tough but extremely fun to fight against.
Features and Functionality
The Champions mod basically features elite variants of the usual mobs that you find in vanilla Minecraft and these elite mobs not only have extra stats but they also feature their own unique special abilities that they’ll use to annihilate you if they ever engage in combat with you. Perhaps the best thing about the elite mobs featured in the Champions mod, though, is that they also grant bonus loot to players that can’t be found in the usual mobs and this makes it worthwhile to take out them time to fight against the elite mobs. It’s important to remember that the elite mobs are divided into various ranks and, the higher the rank, the tougher the fight will be which is why it’s usually a good idea to ensure that you have the skills and equipment necessary to pick a fight with a highly ranked mob before you actually end up engaging.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
Champions is available for version 1.12 of Minecraft and, given the fact that it’s absolutely immaculate on a technical level, you won’t have any trouble getting it to run smoothly as long as you use it with the compatible version of the game.
Overall, Champions is a creative and extremely well thought out mod that we highly recommend trying out because it’s quite unlike anything else that we’ve come across in a while.
