Colona Island is a survival map that draws heavy inspiration from a survival role playing game that quite a lot of players might be familiar with called Dead Island. Since the game that it’s been based on was so high quality and enjoyable, you can definitely expect the same kind of stuff from this map as well. The objective of the map is, of course, to survive for as long as you can by collecting the necessary resources while also avoiding all the foul beings who are trying to kill you as quickly as possible.
As the name suggests, the Colona Island takes place on an island that you can’t seem to get out of. The island’s littered with creatures who want you dead and is overall much more challenging that the average survival map. There are a total of seven different territories in the map, and each territory holds dangers that you need to avoid at all costs. However, each territory also has things that you can use to defend yourself and survive for longer so you’ll have to go to them in spite of the dangers that lurk there. The overall size of the game world in this map is pretty massive, so there’s lots of exploring that you can do as well provided that you don’t get caught by your foes and end up losing your life.
Colona Island Map has lots of other great gameplay features alongside its usual survival element such as side quests to complete, special objects to collect and it even gives players the ability to trade items with other survivors that they’ll encounter on the island. Colona Island can be played multiplayer as well so if you feel like you won’t be able to survive on your own then you can bring a friend along as well. The map’s been designed for Minecraft 1.9 so be sure to use it with the correct version of the game to avoid any technical difficulties.
