CraftMania is a realism oriented resource pack that, unlike a lot of other similar resource packs, manages to give the visuals of Minecraft a realistic touch without actually giving the game’s art style a drastic overhaul. Realistic resource packs are among the most common resource packs available for Minecraft, and most packs from this category tend to achieve a realistic effect by giving the visuals of the game a significant overhaul which is something that fans of Minecraft’s vanilla art style don’t necessarily like all that much. However, the CraftMania resource pack manages to implement realistic visuals without altering the game’s core art style in any major way so, if you’re a fan of vanilla Minecraft’s look, CraftMania is a resource pack that should be right up your alley.
The goal of the CraftMania resource pack, as mentioned earlier, is to make the visuals of Minecraft feel more realistic and the pack accomplishes by giving the textures a lot more detail than they normally consist of. On top of adding detail, though, the pack also removes noise from the textures and, this is actually among the pack’s biggest highlights because noise is something that can be quite difficulty to fully remove from textures, especially while simultaneously adding more detail to them. The color palette of CraftMania isn’t as vibrant as that of many traditional Minecraft resource packs but, thankfully, the toned down colors work in the pack’s favor because they help enforce the realistic look.
The textures of the CraftMania resource pack have been built at a 16×16 resolution which is, of course, the standard that most people are used to so it’s highly unlikely that you’ll have any frame-rate related issues with this pack as long as your computer has hardware that’s capable of handling the vanilla version of the game.
