The name ElfPack might initially have players believe that this is a resource pack with a fantasy themed art style that revolves around Elven legends. However, this actually isn’t the case because, in spite of what the name might imply, ElfPack tries to keep things as simple as possible. This is a pretty high-quality resource pack that’s been designed for players who want a simple and peaceful looking game world that isn’t overloaded with details. The pack might not be for everyone but, for a certain audience of players, it’s straight up perfect.
One of the most impressive things about ElfPack is how calm and tranquil its textures look. A lot of resource packs try to pack as much detail as they possibly can into the textures and, while this definitely leads to some pretty high definition textures, it can be a bit too overbearing at times because these overly detailed textures tend to have a lot of noise in them. ElfPack’s color palette is also a lot darker than what we’re used to seeing from standard resource packs and the darker colors definitely help bring out the calm and relaxed art style that this resource pack has to offer.
It’s worth mentioning that, at the time of writing this, it’s been less than a month since ElfPack’s release and this is why you’re probably going to run into a whole bunch of missing textures when you use this pack. Thankfully, since the pack seems to be receiving updates on a fairly regular basis, all the missing textures are sure to be added in eventually.
