The Ender Zoo mod by CrazyPants_MC is an excellent mod that prioritizes on implementing new creatures and mobs into the game but alongside that it adds a ton of new features as well. The mod was originally intended to a part of the EnderIO mod, but the things that it added didn’t feel right in the EnderIO mod, so it was made into its own standalone thing. It’s received a lot of critical acclaim ever since its release and sees over 100,000 downloads every month which is a pretty incredible amount and is a testament to its high quality.
The main focus of the Ender Zoo mod is towards adding new mobs into the game. It adds a lot of really well executed and creative creatures into the game that are great to look and are quite challenging to go against if you manage to run into them. Each creature also has its own specific set of characteristics. For example, Dire Wolves always travel in packs and don’t bother intruders and Enderminies don’t attack until they’re intentionally provoked. The highlight mobs definitely have to be the Fallen Knights who are usually located on their seemingly undead steeds. These mobs can either be ranged or melee so you’ll have to adapt your strategies according to the one you run into.
Alongside the creatures, the Ender Zoo mod also adds some great new enhancements that you can use to give your weapons bonus effects like the ability to Decay or Wither any target that they strike. Other than this, there are also some great new varieties of TNT including a special confusing charge which basically throws its targets into a state of disarray for a while. On top of all the other amazing features, you’ll also be given complete spawn control with this mod and you can use it to make sure that everything is according to your preferences.
