Furby Mania Mod for Minecraft 1.8/1.7.10

Do you remember Furbies from back in the 90s? If you were a kid, or an adult with kids back then, the odds are good that you do. Those fuzzy little creatures are making a comeback lately, so it’s no surprise they are finding their way into games everywhere – even Minecraft. The Furby Mania mod adds Furbies to Minecraft, and the fuzzy aliens come in a wide variety of colors and patterns. They can be bred like any other friendly animals in the game, and if you’re really feeling hungry, they can even be cooked up to make some edible food in a pinch. They aren’t all passive however.

Now obviously, the Furbies in the Furby Mania mod are a far cry from the critters made of plastic and synthetic hairs which can be bought in stores. Also, they are a little limited since you can only use this mod with Minecraft versions 1.7 and 1.8. It might not work with later versions of the game either, the same way older mods stop working with newer Minecraft clients all the time, so there’s that to keep in mind. Also, the Furby animals will work fine if left to their own devices, but you can make several adjustments to the way they behave by modifying the mod’s config file.

For instance, if you want to change their speech habits, you can do that. If you wish to alter the Furby excreta (poo, vomit) habits, you can change those as well. Unfortunately, the Furbies don’t drop any skins with those crazy colors and patterns; if you were hoping to make armor in all the colors of the rainbow, you’d be better off hitting up a different mod instead. Overall, Furby Mania is great for adding childhood toys to Minecraft. The majority of people who see the mod aren’t going to understand it though.
