Minecraft’s gems are no doubt among its biggest gameplay aspects because they add a lot of functionality to the game and allow players to do many great things. However, from time to time, we can’t help but feel that gems are slightly under-utilized and could be used to do a lot more. Thankfully, the Gem Craft mod is here to remedy that issue. As the name suggests, the mod focuses solely on the gems of Minecraft and allows players to utilize them in a variety of different ways. If you’re looking to make the most out of gems in Minecraft, then this mod will certainly deliver.
The focus of the Gem Craft mod lies towards four different gems, and these gems are Sapphire, Ruby, Amethyst and White Gold. You’ll be able to locate these gems in the Nether, The End, and the Overworld. The Overworld has all four of these gems hidden in it, but the other two locations only have White Gold. Onto the actual functionality of the mod, using it will allow you to use these ores to craft many kinds of incredibly useful tools and weapons. The mod implements full sets of items that are based on these gems, and their stats are quite high so they can be used in a variety of different situations.
Through the Gem Craft mod, you’ll be able to craft swords, axes, shovels, axes and even armors. The strength and stats of each of these items will depend heavily on the gem you’re using with Sapphire and Ruby being improved versions of iron and Amethyst and White Gold being improved versions of diamond. Of course, it goes without saying that actually crafting the items can take a bit of effort but it’s definitely worth it because of how useful they are.
