Hyperion HD Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.8.1

If you’ve ever played Oblivion before, then you know how amazing it feels to crawl out of that beginning dungeon and finally see the sky, trees, flowers and water for the first time. It’s a breathtaking moment. Hyperion HD is a resource pack that makes the textures in Minecraft look so amazing, you’ll swear you must have been living in some dark, dingy sewer before you installed it. It’s not the largest resource pack and it’s not the smallest either, but it is a bit bigger than most with a resolution of 128x. It is more than enough to accomplish everything Hyperion HD resource pack sets out to do.

For starters, you get clear water, water you can actually see through all the way to the bottom of rivers, ponds, lakes and even some parts of the ocean. This makes fishing a lot easier because those bubbles are plain to see against the crisp, blue background provided by Hyperion HD resource pack. Likewise, other constructs like villages, desert and jungle temples and underwater fortresses all stand out and are easier to spot in their surroundings because Hyperion HD texture pack does something few other resource packs do – it stops blocks from looking so similar at great distances.

That might seem like something any resource pack could do, but then go ahead and think about how many you’ve seen which manage this. The number probably isn’t very impressive. Hyperion HD resource pack is impressive though, because the textures are crisp and clean, with some of looking so good you’d think they were living, breathing things. The various types of wood and planks really look tons better, but that’s just the beginning. Those who dig mining will be happy to know the different ores and mineable items each have a unique sprite, so they can’t be confused even in the dark.
