Into the Void is a great resource pack that’s actually the very first official pack by VoidStar MC. Although its name might suggest that it takes players on a strange journey through the void, this actually isn’t the case. The pack actually tries to stay as faithful as possible to the vanilla art style of Minecraft so you might not notice any major changes right from the get-go. However, while it doesn’t make drastic changes to the game’s vanilla art style, it still makes a lot of improvements to it thereby making the in-game visuals a lot more appealing.
The only major change that the Into the Void resource pack makes is that it replaces some of the more common in-game textures like grass and stone with more modern variants of themselves that fit in better with the overall style of the pack. The color palette used by Into the Void is quite reminiscent to that of vanilla Minecraft, although, it’s worth mentioning that the colors have been brightened up a little bit to make the textures more appealing. The pack also makes a lot of subtle changes to various in-game mobs that make them look a lot better than they did in vanilla Minecraft.
Into the Void has been built at a resolution of 16×16 and this resolution was probably chosen to make sure that the pack looks as reminiscent as possible to traditional Minecraft. The great thing about a resolution as low as x16 is the fact that players will be able to use the pack without any worries of frame-rate drops.
