JammerPack is a 64x resolution resource pack for Minecraft which gives players the ability to create realistic and modern looking worlds without adding any new blocks or items to the game. Basically it just convert the plain and rather boring textures from standard Minecraft into completely new fare, though some of the blocks do still look more or less like their original forms. JammerPack is the perfect resource pack for constructing a modern styled metropolis, or a beach resort hotel, or a military installation, or just about anything else a person could think of that would fit into today’s world.
JammerPack replaces many rarely-used blocks like pink wool and chiseled stone bricks with other modern-looking stonework, and this gives players a wider variety of different construction materials without really taking anything away from the game. It’s really more of a reassignment than an addition of any new blocks or items, so installing JammerPack is as easy as dragging it into your resource packs folder and turning it on once you start Minecraft. With a resolution of 64x, it shouldn’t take too long to load, especially if you’re using a high-end computer when playing Minecraft.
Thanks to regular updates, JammerPack is fully functional with Minecraft 1.8, which is the latest version of the game client to date. That means it includes new textures for the various new blocks like underwater torches, the fortresses, the guardian enemies and more. JammerPack also makes some more subtle changes to the player’s GUI, inventory item icons, particle effects and more, making it a relatively thorough resource pack in terms of the changes it brings to the game. The creator recommends picking up OptiFine or another mod loader to avoid compatibility issues with any mods you may use normally.
