The Kwasti Villagers mod is small and simple. It doesn’t add any game-breaking weapons, armor or items to Minecraft. Instead, it gives players a couple of new villager types they can meet at any naturally spawning NPC village. With the mod active they could also get these villagers out of villager eggs on Creative mode, but that’s neither here nor there. Actually, this mod limits the use of several other mods like IC2 and ThaumCraft by forcing the player to get their special ingredients through these unique villagers, rather than letting them craft the items on their own like normal.
This kind of defeats the purpose of using those mods, so it would make sense if the majority of Minecraft players using those custom mods would avoid this one like the plague. But then there are players who like for their game to be more difficult, so the Kwasti Villagers mod definitely fills a niche. Basically, the mod allows you to get your hands on goods you would never find in vanilla Minecraft, but it also makes them so ridiculously expensive that you will be struggling just to make those trades with your local NPC villagers. To be blunt, this mod just makes things more expensive.
That could be good or bad depending on your preferences. The mod adds 7 unique coins to Minecraft which can be used as trade bait with the villagers. It also adds an iron chest villager and 3 different IndustrialCraft 2 villagers to Minecraft. Diamond fishing rods have a long life (512 uses) and can occasionally catch wooden, stone and copper coins when used for fishing. This is in addition to all the normal rare catches the player can get, like worn boots, magical books and explosive TNT blocks. Check the mod website for information on all the mods you’ll need installed along with it.
