MCSkin3D Tool for Minecraft 1.8/1.8.1

The MCSkin3D is more of a utility than something that adds content to Minecraft. It is useful for players who want to create their own custom skins – and that’s practically anyone who finally decided he or she was tired of the way Steve looks. It seamlessly combined 2D and 3D painting effects to help players create some top-quality Minecraft skins. Before getting started though, you’ve got to install the thing. Do not install it to your Minecraft directory – give it a file of its own in a place you’ll easily remember, but don’t dump it into your Minecraft folder. This could cause crashes and other problems.

While some might consider this a sort of clone of SkinCraft or a number of other skin-crafting mods, that’s just not true. The MCSkin3D is a professional level tool for people who want to make something great for their own personal use, or to share with the Minecraft community at large. You aren’t required to be a great painter to use this tool, but knowledge of programs like Photoshop and other software that focuses on manipulating images can only help you here. Because it doesn’t really get installed to Minecraft, this mod works with every version of the game. Skins are just skins, after all.

MCSkin3D Tool for Minecraft 1.8 and 1.8.1 Changelogs

  • Supports 1.8 skin format, as well as some other minor issues!
  • Added model for Alex arms
  • Fixed long-standing issue of disappearing limbs.
  • Techne support is still a bit iffy but better.
