More Enchantments Mod for Minecraft 1.8/1.7.10

Because enchanting is such a big part of Minecraft, especially in the later stages of the game, it’s nice when mods come out supporting this aspect of the game. You may have heard of HxC-Core, which boosts up the enchantments allowed to levels never before seen in the vanilla game. The More Enchantments mod approaches enchantments a bit differently, giving players new enchantments and abilities rather than powering up those enchantments and abilities which already exist in the game. So, what kind of new enchantments could a player get? Well, you might be surprised.

With more than 30 new enchantments to discover and use, there are literally dozens of new enchantments. Boots get the swiftness enchantment, which allows for faster move speed; leggings get the cloud enchantment, which allows for faster or slower falling and negates fall damage; the magnet enchantment goes on armor and increases item pick up range; helmets get a nightvision enchantment which brightens up the nights and makes it easier to see in the dark. These are just four of the new enchantments, one for each piece of gear – a full list is available at the mod website and features many cool new effects.

You don’t need any custom items or goods to get these new enchantments. They have a random chance of occurring just like any other enchantment. As long as you have the experience levels and the lapis handy to do the job, you have a chance of getting any or none of these new enchantments on your weapons, armor and tools. Players who are looking for a more vanilla experience will probably shy away from the More Enchantments mod, but others who wants slightly stronger stuff instead of super OP gear like some mods provide will probably find a nice middle ground with this mod.

1. Download & Install the Forge API for Minecraft
2. Put the MoreEnchantments.jar into the “mods” folder!
