Sleeping is a great way to make the night pass quickly and get back to daylight in Minecraft. Monsters don’t spawn in direct sunlight and zombies and skeletons both die when hit by the sun’s rays, so the day is infinitely preferable to the night in Minecraft. Even if you wanted to hunt monsters and farm their drops, you could always build a spawner for that specific purpose. However, sleeping is pretty much impossible when playing Minecraft online. Unless every player gets into their own bed simultaneously, sleep is impossible. The Morpheus mod fixes this glaring issue in a good way.
With this mod installed, when a player on a server attempts to sleep during the night, the server will poll everyone playing to see if they would like to burn through the night and make it day right away. By default, the Morpheus mod requires at least 50% of the people playing on a server to vote for day in order for the change to occur. This amount can be adjusted to your liking in the mod’s configuration file, and you could set it as low as 5% (or even less) so a single person trying to sleep would be enough to make night turn to day.
One thing worth noting is that you must have Forge installed on your server for the Morpheus mod to work. It absolutely requires it, so don’t forget that. Also, because you can sleep without polling anyone while playing alone, this mod does literally nothing while you’re playing offline – it only works when playing online, on a server and with other people. This mod will actually tell you who is trying to sleep too, so if you’re one of those types who would say yes but not if there aren’t enough people who want to sleep, this mod will take some anxiety off of your shoulders.
