Mysterious Miscellany is an incredibly useful Minecraft mod that features a vast array of minor changes that make Minecraft function a lot better. The mod focuses primarily on some of the annoying little issues that have plagued the game for many years and, all things considered, it does an excellent job of remedying most of them. You shouldn’t expect any groundbreaking new features or gameplay mechanics from this mod but, what you can expect, is a variety of convenient little changes that make the Minecraft experience a lot more enjoyable. Even if you aren’t particularly interested in installing mods into your Minecraft client, this is a mod that you should definitely make an exception for.
Onto the specifics, the first change made by the Mysterious Miscellany mod is the fact that it completely removes server-wide boss sounds and this is why you’ll no longer hear the sounds of wither or dragon spawns over and over again. The mod also implements a special Infused Fishstopper into the game that lets players sneak right click in order to activate a useful area of effect mod. Alongside these features, Mysterious Miscellany features a spawn preventer that prevents mobs from spawning in a specific area, an ocean annihilator that removes all the water in a designated area and, on top of all this, the mod even comes with a useful autorun function that you can bind to any key you want to.
Onto the technical aspects, Mysterious Miscellany operates quite smoothly because the changes that it makes to the game aren’t that massive and this is why the likelihood of the mod having any bugs is quite small. Mysterious Miscellany is available for Minecraft 1.10 and 1.11 so you might need to upgrade or downgrade your Minecraft client if you want to use the mod and aren’t on one of the compatible versions.
