The PacX resource pack is one that we’re delighted to see because, unlike traditional resource packs, it fixes the visual issues that have existed in Minecraft for a while instead of simply pasting an entirely different art style on top of the game. The pack, at the time of writing this, has been out for less than a week and it’s already making waves due to how cleverly designed and creative it is. If you want the visual style of Minecraft to remain as it’s always been but simultaneously want to improve the visuals by a drastic amount, then PacX will definitely suffice.
Onto the specifics of the pack’s textures, there’s a lot to like about PacX. The biggest change that it makes is probably the fact that it brightens up the colors for a lot of in-game entities that have traditionally been hard to spot, especially in environments that have low light such as underground caves and such. One of the most intriguing changes that we’ve seen in this pack is that it actually changes the colors of each bow depending on its power and this allows for some dynamic and highly appealing visuals that you simply cannot find in most run-of-the-mill resource packs.
PacX also makes the in-game water look a lot more realistic since it’s clearer and easier to see through and, alongside this, there are tons of other changes for players to enjoy. PacX has a resolution of x16 which is fitting since it has simply been designed to remedy the game’s textures instead of changing them entirely and, of course, the great thing about this resolution is that it allows players to utilize the pack without having to worry about frame-rate troubles.
