Player Rugs Mod for Minecraft 1.9.4/1.9/1.8.9

You know how Minecraft allows players to collect heads from monsters, and sometimes even other players, at a certain probability? They make great decorations for morbid people, and also good signs for sensible players to steer elsewhere once they start seeing walls full of heads. The Player Rugs mod takes this gruesome habit one step further by allowing for rugs to be crafted using those player heads and a good deal of leather. These human rugs can be placed on floors and used as decorative items, or as a nice place to wipe your feet when you come inside from the rain.

There is an alternative way to get your player rug which is much more difficult to manage but also intensely satisfying because of that. If you can get someone to walk into a trap where they get flattened by an anvil falling from above, in addition to everything else they’re carrying falling to the floor, they will also create an appropriate rug on death. The Player Rugs mod is nice because it give you a comical way to get your hands on a rug, as well as a more methodical one. In this way, it satisfies defensive players who prefer to stay at home as well as aggressive players who enjoy getting into fights.

With all that said, there’s little else to tell about the Player Rugs mod. Rugs can be ripped up off the floor with any tool, just like heads can be knocked off of walls and collected to be reused later. Unlike heads which can be mounted on walls though, it’s impossible to create a narrow staircase with player rugs like you could with the heads. You can’t break a rug down to get the head back either, so don’t go rushing off to convert every head you have.
