Out of all the simplistic and traditional resource packs out there, it doesn’t get any simpler than the Pure-Edge resource pack by Zorock. If you’ve played Minecraft for a while now you’ve probably noticed that the default textures tend to have a lot of clutter in them and this is something that even most resource packs tend to overlook. The clutter tends to make the game look rather untidy no matter what the resolution of the textures is but worry not as the Pure-Edge resource pack is here to rid your Minecraft of all the untidiness that holds it back from looking truly outstanding.
The objective of the Pure-Edge resource pack is to simplify the textures and make them look much cleaner than they normally do. The developer states that this has been done through a lot of clever shading methods and the end result is definitely a masterpiece. The game looks like a sight to behold after applying this pack because the textures just look so straightforward and visually appealing. Once you’ve used this resource pack for a while you’ll probably have a lot of difficulty switching to some other pack or even back to the default look simply because of how clean it is.
The best part about the Pure-Edge resource pack is that it is available in both x16 and x32 resolutions so even if you’re running a low-end PC you’ll still be able to enjoy the pack thanks to the x16 variant. However, it’s definitely recommended that you apply the x32 variant if your computer can run it because it makes the game look straight up stunning. Although the mod mostly retains the default color palette of Minecraft, the one texture that might feel different is that of the glowstone but other than that it’s all normal.
