Reteline is a resource pack that wasn’t necessarily created to change the look of Minecraft but, according to the creator, it was designed to fix the problems with the game’s visuals. We can all agree that vanilla Minecraft’s visuals definitely have their fair share of flaws and, as it turns out, this resource pack does a rather spectacular job of remedying most of them. If you’re content with the vanilla art style of the game and are simply looking for a way to get rid of the issues that hold the vanilla visuals back then Reteline is a resource pack that you should certainly be considering right now.
Onto the actual features, the Reteline remakes a lot of the game’s textures in order to remove redundant details and noise from them. The amount of detail in the textures of this pack is the same as it is in vanilla but, in this particular pack, noise doesn’t seem to be an issue at all. The pack also overhauls the in-game user-interface to make it look sleeker. On top of all this, it’s worth mentioning that the Reteline resource pack brightens up the color palette of the game a little bit and, while this might seem like a pretty minor change on paper, it’s actually quite impactful because the textures look a lot more vibrant thanks to it.
The Reteline resource pack has a resolution of x32 so you’ll probably be able to run it without any trouble as long as you have a PC that can run vanilla Minecraft at stable frame-rates. It’s important to keep in mind that the pack is still a work in progress so some textures are still missing from it but, given the rate at which Reteline receives updates, these textures will probably be added quite soon.
