Rex Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.9.4

The Rex resource pack by RexCraftia features some amazing icons and item textures. These make Minecraft look like a game set in a different time period thanks to their futuristic appearance and significantly better looks when compared to Minecraft’s vanilla icons and textures. This pack simply makes Minecraft look better, and there are surprisingly few resource packs where one could make that claim and actually mean it. This quality doesn’t make the Rex Pack unique, but it does make it one out of a hundred – it’s really a standup pack with consistent quality in every texture.

From active furnaces which glow with an eerie green light to ladders which appear to be made from different types of metal rather than any wood at all, even the most common and basic textures in Minecraft get a serious upgrade thanks to the Rex Pack. These changes make some of the textures hard to identify however. Redstone lamps and glowstone bricks, for example, have strange blue and gold coloring which are nothing like the original images. Mob spawners still look about the same but they are one of the few textures which do. Overall, the Rex Pack makes Minecraft look like a different game.

Overall, the Rex resource pack features more than 400 totally customized textures, which are spread out among all the standard Minecraft blocks and items as well as 30+ special animated blocks and items too. There are two different versions of this resource pack too, with the only difference between them being the inclusion of 3D models in the more demanding pack. A custom font along with 32x textures and no mods being necessary to the function of the pack make this a nice standalone addition to Minecraft.
