RRe36’s Shaders mod is a derivation of Chocapic13’s Shaders, which is itself a derivation of the original GLSL Shaders Mod which seems to inspire many people to create their own shader mods. Sun spots, lens flares, realistic shadows and more are all hallmarks of this particular shader pack, which has a tendency to tint most surfaces in the game some shade of red. Crimson, maroon, mahogany; regardless of the tone in it, most blocks, mobs and other entities get a little redder thanks to this mod. At high noon, everything is bright and looks natural, but the early and later parts of the day just look off, somehow.
One of the best parts about RRe36’s Shaders mod is the new water textures. Water looks like, well, water – there are waves, dips and ripples and when it rains, an ocean view is a sight to be seen. There are certain resource packs which go very well with this particular mod, including many different kinds of realistic packs like Modern HD and Modern Craft. Because this mod is compatible with Minecraft Forge, it will also work with the majority of the mods you probably have installed already, which makes installing and utilizing this mod a seamless process.
