SkySlasher’s PvP Pack hasn’t even been out for a month yet and it’s already received quite a lot of praise and critical acclaim. As you can tell from the name, this is a pack that focuses on player vs player gameplay but, before we go into details regarding it, we want to point out that the pack has been designed specifically to work with version 1.8 of Minecraft so, if you’ve already updated the game to one of its more recent versions, you’ll need to downgrade if you want to utilize this pack without running into technical problems.

A lot of PvP resource packs try to change the art style of the game while also enhancing the PvP experience for players but SkySlasher’s PvP Pack only focuses on the latter of these two things. The visual style of the game remains largely similar to what it is in vanilla so you probably won’t notice any drastic changes in terms of how the game looks. However, even though the art style hasn’t been changed much with this pack, it’s still worth mentioning that it makes the textures look cleaner and more detailed. The textures in this pack seem to be completely free of noise and this makes them perfect for PvP because players won’t be distracted by the unnecessary details.

SkySlasher’s PvP Pack has a resolution of x32 which is of course slightly above the usual x16 resolution that most traditional resource packs are built at but this slightly higher resolution is definitely a good thing because it does an excellent job of making the textures look more detailed and appealing.
