Snowie’s Faithful resource pack is a pack that’s probably among the oldest out there because it’s been out for around five years now but, even though the pack’s been out for so long, it really isn’t all that popular. Even after all these years, the pack sits at just over a thousand downloads but you definitely shouldn’t mistake its lack of popularity for lack of quality because it’s actually an extremely well-designed pack that you should consider trying out now that it’s received an update and is compatible with the latest version of Minecraft.
The goal of Snowie’s Faithful resource pack is to enhance the look of Minecraft’s textures while simultaneously making sure that it doesn’t make any drastic alterations to the core art style that’s defined the game’s visuals over the years and, all things considered, the pack does an excellent job of doing so. The level of detail in the textures is incredible, there’s next to no noise in the textures, the color palette is vibrant, the items look quite smooth and, overall, all the visuals look quite nice. It’s worth mentioning, though, that some of the textures do need a bit of work but, all things considered, the pack’s construction is fairly high quality so you shouldn’t be afraid to try it out if you’re looking for a solid resource pack that stays faithful to Minecraft’s vanilla art style.
Snowie’s Faithful resource pack has a resolution of x32 which is a step above the standard x16, and this is probably the main reason why the pack’s textures seem to have so much more detail than most standard resource packs. One minor downside to the slightly higher resolution, though, is that players might notice performance issues if they play Minecraft on low-end PCs.
