Taken is an absolutely extraordinary map that you’ll love playing if you appreciate top notch adventure maps. Although the name might imply it, the map isn’t based on the popular movie series, so if you were hoping for something related to the movie series, then you’ll probably be disappointed. However, the map still manages to provide a captivating experience, and this is primarily thanks to its trio of spectacular visuals, gripping plot, and of course, engaging gameplay. This map basically has every single feature that adventure maps are known for, and this is why we highly recommend giving it a shot if you’re looking for a new map to try out.

In the Taken Map, you play the role of the town Blacksmith. You were working hard in your mineshaft to gather materials for your shop but, all of a sudden, you start to hear noises and the mine collapses. You manage to get out of the mine but, once you get to your village, you see that it’s been completely ravaged and your family is nowhere to be found. You must now embark on a dangerous quest to exact revenge on whoever destroyed your village, and you must also rescue your family before it’s too late and something ends up happening to them.

In terms of gameplay, Taken is an absolute delight. The map lasts for around two to three hours, and this is a pretty significant amount of time since a lot of traditional adventure maps only last for an hour at most. The map also features top of the line boss battles as well as an advanced dialogue system that we haven’t seen before. It’s worth mentioning that Taken doesn’t require you to have any mods or texture packs installed beforehand, so you’ll be able to download it and play without any trouble.
