Terraria Buttons Mod for Minecraft 1.8.8/1.8

There are many resource packs which aim to bring the look of Terraria into Minecraft with mixed success. But the Terraria Buttons mod is the first great interpretation of the popular side-scrolling action game in the realm of Minecraft. Or at the very least, it is the first great translation of chest mechanics from Terraria to Minecraft. While it won’t make Minecraft into a 3D version of Terraria, this mod will make interacting with chests and other aspects of your world much more user-friendly. For example, chests will get a new button which instantly moves everything from your inventory into the container.

Other nice buttons include the Loot All button, which is pretty self-explanatory. You could always just break a chest to grab up all of its contents, but that’s not necessary with the Terraria Buttons mod. There’s also a nice Quick Stack button that takes any items from your inventory which are also in the current container and moves them to those stacks, emptying your inventory and making the container fuller with similar goods. There is an opposite Restock button which will move items from a container into your inventory, filling stacks of carried goods. This is great if you do a lot of PVP.

While it isn’t the entire experience, the Terraria Buttons mod does bring you one big step closer to getting a real Terraria experience in Minecraft. Of course, the game is cheap enough that if you could afford Minecraft, you could probably afford Terraria. But mods exist for both games trying to make each more like the other, and trying some of the Minecraft mods, like this one, can actually give you a better idea of what to expect from Terraria. Terraria Buttons also has support for mods which increase the size of your inventory and chest storage space, making it a seamless fit.
