There are many resource packs which focus on changing the appearance of textures in Minecraft, but relatively few which go as far as The CandyPack. This resource pack changes everything and in a strange way at that, since you’ll find many of the textures look like something you could eat. You might even start to feel hungry just from punching trees since oak, jungle and other wood types look like striped candies, like the candy canes you see around Christmas or the striped mints you can find anytime. Other trees look like gingerbread or even giant Oreo cookies.
With The CandyPack resource pack installed, everything looks edible. Stone blocks and bricks look like chocolate blocks and are actually pretty well done. While you could normally eat chickens anyhow, they now look like marshmallow peeps, which can give your Minecraft world a kind of Easter motif. Iron is replaced by caramel, so your weapons and armor will all make you look edible too. Though The CandyPack is only half finished, it’s still pretty new and the work that has been done is pretty good. The low 16x resolution means practically anyone can play while using it too.
There are many updates planned for the future of The CandyPack. Chicken eggs will be made like chocolate eggs. The Enderdragon egg will also be converted to chocolate, though you won’t be able to throw it around or use it for cooking recipes like the chicken eggs. Gummy worms and snakes are also in the works, and you can look forward to existing textures being improved too. For instance, though the vines on jungle (Oreo) trees are different, their bright pink color kind of clashes with the chocolate and cream background.
