The Color Underground Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.10.2

The key focus of The Color Underground resource pack is towards smoothness, clarity, and cleanliness. A lot of modern days Minecraft packs revolve around adding multitudes of new and unique visual elements into the mix and while this leads to a lot of distinct visual experiences, it also makes these packs rather overbearing at certain times because some of their textures have way too much noise or redundant details in them as well as other factors that take away from their visual appeal. According to creator Pintom, the pack remained in development for a year and four months before it was released and its high quality is proof of the effort that went into it.

The Color Underground resource pack gives all the vanilla Minecraft textures a makeover that makes them look way smoother than they normally do. The pack values simplicity above all else so you’ll hardly ever see any excessive detail in its textures and this leads to visuals that are easy on the eyes and overall a delight to look at. The pack also features a variety of excellent looking 3D models as well as HD reworks of all the textures of vanilla Minecraft items.

Alongside the major visual changes that it brings to the table, The Color Underground also makes minor changes elsewhere such as in the user-interface and also the font. It’s recommended that you have either MCPatcher or Optifine installed before you use this pack because a lot of its features require one of these to work properly. The pack draws heavy inspiration from other simplistic resource packs such as Ignaf’s Quadral, Frenden’s Meringued and Vattic’s Faithful so you might even notice a few similarities while using it.
