The Shovel Quest is a Minecraft puzzle map that’s been designed with the intention of providing players with a fresh and innovative puzzle experience that they’ll be pleased with if they’re looking for something that’s completely out of the ordinary. Puzzle maps are a delight to play but, over the years, it’s become rather repetitive to see the same kind of gameplay used over and over again in every other map but, thankfully, this isn’t the case with The Shovel Quest because it features an entirely new concept that leads to a refreshing experience.
Instead of making you solve various different kinds of complex puzzles, The Shovel Quest is a map that will require you to craft the coveted Rainbow Shovel and, while this might seem like a simple task at first, this actually isn’t the case because gathering the supplies and resources necessary to craft the shovel is going to be a huge challenge for you and, alongside this, there’s also the fact that the actual crafting process needs to be done on a 5×5 crafting grid that’s probably going to take you a while to get the hang of at the beginning. Regardless of how challenging the map is, though, The Shovel Quest manages to be fun and entertaining so you won’t be disappointed with the gameplay that it brings to the table.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
Up until now, there haven’t been any reported incidents of major bugs occurring during The Shovel Quest so you should feel free to play it without being concerned about any compatibility or technical difficulties that may arise. It goes without saying, though, that you’ll need to play the map on the version of Minecraft that it was designed for which, in this case, is Minecraft 1.13.2.
All things considered, The Shovel Quest is certainly an innovative map and it offers a fresh perspective on what puzzle map gameplay can be like.
