Though Toxic World is a mod for Minecraft, it really sounds like it might be a good name for a map too. Maybe a place loaded with pools of poison and other chemical hazards just waiting to infect the player. Honestly though, the Toxic World mod is specifically designed to make Minecraft’s Hardcore gameplay mode even more difficult than it already is. For starters, this mod adds a new, poisonous rain to Minecraft. This will give you the potion poison effect if you get caught out in it, but worse than that, the poison will become progressively stronger the longer you are in the rain.
The sky isn’t the only source of poison either. Some biomes are actually toxified, so when you interact with them you get a face full of poison gas. Whenever you break dirt or wood blocks in the affected biomes, you’ll want to be as far away from the targeted block as possible while breaking it. This can help you avoid getting poisoned. If you see a body of water in such a biome though, taking a dip in that will poison you no matter what. No enchantments will save you from this poison, which doesn’t actually kill you but does make your health low enough for other mobs to easily finish you off.
Since you won’t come back if you die while playing Hardcore mode, it’s plain to see why all the poison sources in the Toxic World mod would make that particular game mode much harder on the player. Even the toughest armor with the most powerful enchantments won’t stop the steady ticking of poison eating away at your health. While there are no enchantments to make you immune to poison, putting the custom Uncorrodible enchantment on all of your armor will make it far less likely that you get poisoned.
