If you’ve ever read Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, you already have a little background with this map. While it isn’t exactly based on the classic tale of pirates at sea, the Treasure Island 2 map by DCHiD still features lots of lush wilderness to explore, temples and dungeons to delve into and of course, treasure. You’ll find yourself following maps to points and digging in the dirt to find some chests, but most of the time the treasure will be more visible and more difficult to get at for the player. There is a fair share of puzzles too, often with fatal consequences for those who fail to solve them.
Treasure Island 2 is very similar to the first Treasure Island map in terms of gameplay and what the player is expected to do in order to survive. However, the maps are completely different, so if you’ve already played the first one that doesn’t mean you should just ignore the second. Well, that’s not necessarily true. If you didn’t like the first one then by all means, steer clear of the second. It’s pretty much the same kind of gameplay. If you did enjoy the first map though, this is just more of the same Treasure Island you’ve come to love.
