For players who have already seen all the different biomes Minecraft has to offer, the Tropicraft mod makes a nice addition to the game. Not only does it add a new tropical biome, but it also includes other nice features like beaches, palm trees and palm wood, and real volcanoes. There are a few new monsters too! Perhaps the biggest difference from standard Minecraft is the way the game generates terrain when creating new worlds – now big islands loaded with new, never before seen flora and fauna will be pretty common, at least in the ocean biomes. This mod doesn’t interfere with normal world generation.
With so many new additions to Minecraft, the Tropicraft mod is one of the biggest. It isn’t just cosmetic stuff either – new equipment like the water wand, which can quickly empty underwater cavities, and the fire staff, which is like a fire charge but much better and far easier to obtain, allow the player to manipulate his world in ways heretofore unseen. New food items allow the player to create never before seen dishes, and several poisons and a blowgun give new ways to slay baddies, familiar and not.
