True Colors Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.8.8

Normally when you hear about someone showing their true colors, it’s in a negative connotation. Suddenly you realize they aren’t as nice a person as they seemed before, or something like that. The True Colors resource pack for Minecraft, on the other hand, is a great update to the game and improves the look of many textures throughout Mojang’s popular game. It starts with the simple stuff like cobblestone, bricks and other stone blocks; these all look excellent, uneven and more realistic than they normally do. That’s just the start though. There are many other good things about this pack.

The GUI looks decent and the ore blocks are also nice, mostly because you can tell each of them apart thanks to unique designs. This is good for players who prefer to continue mining even after they’re burned through their supply of torches on a resource run since, even in the dark, it’s still possible to see the outlines of ore blocks. The fact there is variety even among single blocks which seem to come in multiple designs is pretty cool too. Variety seems to be the name of the game with the True Colors resource pack and there are few if any Minecraft players who would complain about that.

Nor would they complain about the resolution. At a low 32x, it’s possible to anyone who plays Minecraft to use this resource pack and at least get a look at it for themselves, personally. It’s kind of hard to trust reviews on the Internet, you know? But there’s no better way to test their accuracy than to try the thing being reviewed for yourself. In this case, it’s a free download and a couple minutes of your time, so no big loss either way.
