The University of Parkour map really could be the best parkour map around for players who are new to the whole jumping and leaping around aspect of Minecraft. Parkour maps are some of the most popular in the game, but they’re also some of the most difficult. Anyone can swing a sword and hack up some mobs, but it takes skill and talent to clear some of the more complicated parkour courses out there. This map has plenty of them too, but at least you don’t see them until the latter half. With 20 levels in all, that means the first 10 are relatively easy.
They aren’t pushovers by any means, but they are really there to be educational in the first place, so it makes sense that the first maps aren’t difficult. You’ll learn many aspects of parkour in University of Parkour, including the running jump, how to grab onto ladders and the edges of blocks with the SHIFT key, and how to time jumps accurately when using super speed and super jump potions. The rules here are simple: set the render distance as high as your PC will reasonably allow and make sure the game is on Peaceful so mobs don’t interrupt your run.
University of Parkour Map Rules
- Play on peaceful.
