VanillaBDCraft Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.9/1.8.8/1.8.9

BDCraft is probably one of the most popular resource packs around today. It has been redone, redrawn and reconfigured many times since it was released to work for a number of different motifs. These go through themes like medieval or sci-fi or wild west and everywhere else, running the gamut. But the VanillaBDCraft resource pack is for those who want the BDCraft level of quality in textures, but wish that time and care was applied to vanilla Minecraft rather than redrawing the game from the ground up. In short, this is one of those faithful packs – but it’s not like the others.

That’s because VanillaBDCraft doesn’t use crazy coloring schemes or funky lighting or shading effects on textures throughout Minecraft. What you get is essentially a version of Minecraft that just looks better than normal. Sprites are updated rather than replaced, given more bits per texture and made sharper. The result is a world which looks so familiar to the previous one that you shouldn’t have any trouble identifying blocks, figuring out what biome you’re in or knowing if you’ve picked a good spot to set up a farm or livestock pen. This pack doesn’t make Minecraft look very different.

What the VanillaBDCraft resource pack does, is make everything look better. From construction blocks to pieces of the environment to mobs, items, icons and more, VanillaBDCraft touches every aspect of the game. It’s very thorough, so you don’t need to worry about running into any normal, vanilla textures while playing the game. Nothing looks out of place here. It is, essentially, a solid resource pack with very few extremely good or bad qualities.
