Vulcanite Ore is a mod that, as you can already tell by the name, has been designed to implement a new ore into Minecraft. The variety of ores in vanilla Minecraft is quite impressive on its own but, after a while, things start to feel a tad bit repetitive since players have to use the same ores over and over again and these ores don’t really have any distinct characteristics other than the fact that they’re different in terms of their stats. The Vulcanite Ore mod adds the vulcanite ore into the game, and you’ll be able to find this ore in the depths of the nether, right around where the lava usually is. It’s important to remember that the Vulcanite Ore can only be mined by using a diamond pickaxe or any other similar tool that has the same, or higher, mining level than the diamond pickaxe. The vulcanite ore is a bit like iron terms of its statistics, but it’s a tad bit better and has a variety of special characteristics that make it more than worth mining.
All the armor pieces you craft from the ore in the Vulcanite Ore mod will give you damage reduction from hot sources such as lava, fire, magma and what not. If you can manage to get your hands on a full set of vulcanite armor, then you’ll actually have 75% damage reduction against hot sources, and this is actually a game changer. The tools crafted through this ore are a lot more efficient in the nether and have more durability as well so they can last a lot longer. Finally, weapons crafted through this ore deal 15% more damage to mobs that are usually immune to fire.
