Wireless Redstone Mod for Minecraft 1.8

One of the hardest parts in creating any redstone construct is getting the wiring down perfectly. You need lines of redstone dust running along certain paths and fed into repeaters and other blocks in just the right way for the building you create to do what you want it to do. It’s all very complicated, but the Wireless Redstone mod simplifies redstone construction by letting you both transmit and receive redstone signals over long distances without wire being necessary. Basically, you give one block a signal and tell another block to pick up that signal, and it carries through a redstone ether, of sorts, arriving as it would with wire.

You can actually put several different transmitters and receivers on the same “circuit” so to speak, but if any one of them are active, then they are all active – to make them all inactive, you have to literally turn them all off. Some people will argue this new way of construction redstone machines is even more complicated than just running wires, and some of them will be right depending on how much experience they have doing things the traditional way. If you’re stuck on redstone yourself, you might want to try the Wireless Redstone mod and see if it helps you build the thing you want to build.
