Glacier Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.8.9

Glacier Resource Pack is a great PvP texture pack that manages to improve the gameplay’s smoothness quite a bit but at the same time manages to make the game look quite nice. The catch with most PvP packs is that they tend to compromise way too much on Minecraft’s visuals in order to make the gameplay smooth. However, Glacier Pack manages to improve the game’s performance tremendously without making any major downgrades in the game’s visuals thereby leading to an experience that’s both visually appealing and of course highly enjoyable thanks to the smooth frame-rates.

The Glacier Resource Pack has been designed with the blue-ish color of glaciers in mind. The pack’s color palette is definitely quite distinct since we rarely see anything of the sort in most run-of-the-mill Minecraft packs but the colors actually synergize quite nicely with the textures. Speaking of the textures, they don’t have an excessive level of detail in them, but they still look very appealing because of how they’re designed and how to work so cohesively with the pack’s colors. One minor gripe we have with the pack is the fact that the textures seem to have a minor amount of noise in them, but this is a pretty small issue since you probably won’t notice the noise in the heat of the intense PvP matches that this pack is primarily going to be used for.

As far as performance goes, the frame-rate of the Glacier Pack is extremely stable and smooth, and this is in part thanks to the x16 resolution. The resolution isn’t high so even players with very low-end PCs will be able to use the pack and participate in high-intensity PvP sessions without worrying about performance loss.
