Mere Child’s Play is the kind of resource pack whose visual style you could probably tell as soon as you read its name. It’s a simplistic themed resource pack, but its big highlight is that it tries to implement a lot of toy-like visuals into the game. The design of this pack is definitely among some of the most unique that we’ve seen, and that alone is enough to warrant giving it a shot. So, if you’re in search of a simple resource pack that brings a distinct look to the game, then Mere Child’s Play might just be the perfect choice.

As for the textures of the Mere Child’s Play resource pack, they definitely look quite solid, and this is in part thanks to the vibrant color scheme but also in part thanks to the top notch shading techniques utilized. The defining visual characteristic of this pack is the fact that the entire environment has been textured in a way that makes it look like a quilt, and the in-game mobs have been revamped to look like various toys like action figures, stuffed animals and what not. There are also various minor changes, for instance, the sun being shaped to look like an orange slice.

The Mere Child’s Play is currently quite close to its completion at 80% with most of the environmental textures and GUI changes being done already. The pack’s textures have a resolution of 32×32 which is pretty solid and is definitely enough to execute the toy based art style that the pack tries to go for.
