Sky Control is an innovative new map that promises to deliver an absolutely delightful gameplay experience to players who are fans of the Player vs Player aspect of Minecraft. PvP maps in Minecraft seem to be on a tear recently because there have been some absolutely phenomenal maps in the past few days that have impressed us quite a bit with their unique gameplay concepts and near spot-on execution. As it turns out, Sky Control is another addition to this enormous line-up of exceptional maps that are sure to provide players with quite a bit of thrill and enjoyment.
Unlike a lot of traditional PvP maps that revolve around fast-paced combat, Sky Control features a more strategic design. The gameplay revolves around controlling territory and capturing beacons before your opponents can. Each match-up in this map requires players to reach a certain number of points and, in order to earn points, players have to take control of beacons. The thing that makes Sky Control so exciting is the fact that, alongside its innovative beacon control gameplay, the map features a variety of upgrades that players can acquire as they progress through the map. Upgrades can have many kinds of helpful effects so it’s highly recommended that you acquire some as soon as you can because they’ll give you a significant advantage over your opponents.
Due to the PvP nature of the Sky Control map, it’s important to make sure that you have at least two players willing to play it if you want it to actually function. However, we definitely recommend getting four players at the very least, or even more if you can, because the map feels a lot more thrilling and engrossing when there are multiple people playing it who are all trying their best to reach the point goal.
