If you’ve been playing Minecraft for a while, then you’ve probably had your fair share of experience with missteps that cause you to fall down from a relatively tall structure and lose a pretty hefty part of your health bar because the height of the fall was pretty massive. You’ve probably also run into a lot of instances in which you wanted to scale a structure but couldn’t do so because the regular jump just doesn’t cover enough distance. The Bouncing Balls has been built keeping in mind these two common issues that players face when playing Minecraft and does an excellent job of resolving them.
The Bouncing Balls basically implements a whole lot of different balls that you can get your hands on. Crafting these balls is fairly easy since their recipes aren’t that demanding and once you’ve finally crafted them you can use them by equipping them in one of your hands. The balls allow you to get to higher places by augmenting how much you can jump, and they also prevent you from taking damage whenever you fall down from large heights. It’s important to remember that the effects of these balls only occur when you have them equipped so simply keeping them in your inventory won’t be enough to make them work.
The balls of the Bouncing Balls mod can be dyed as well so you can change their default colors to another color of your preference. As of right now, there haven’t been any major issues with the mod but from time to time the boosted jump function does cease to function, but fortunately, this doesn’t happen nearly often enough to be considered a significant issue. The mod works with Minecraft 1.7.10 and 1.8.9 so before you install it you need to make sure that you’re on the proper version of Minecraft.
