The Canvas resource pack can be thought of as a complete re-imagination of Minecraft. The pack’s been designed to give Minecraft the look that it would’ve had if it was designed on an actual canvas. Due to the nature of this pack, it’s been designed using the brush/outlining tool present in Paint.net and because of this, you’ll see that it has a very unique look that’s definitely unlike anything that most other texture packs have to offer. The textures that it has carry a rather cartoonish look so it might not be for everyone, but if you’re not bothered by that certain look, then this is definitely a pack that you’ll want to have.
Before going into further detail about it, it’s worth pointing out that the text of the Canvas resource pack isn’t particularly desirable as it seems to be stretched out a little bit and this can cause issues with in-game signs because it’ll make them harder to read. Fortunately, most of the other visual aspects of this pack are top notch, so the text is a relatively minor issue. The textures have insanely high amounts of detail with them, the color scheme is bright and vibrant, all the blocks look incredibly smooth and overall there’s tons of eye candy to enjoy.
The Canvas resource pack is available in resolutions of x128 and x64, and the ability to choose from two resolutions is great because it makes the pack accessible to more users. If you’re running Minecraft on a relatively low-end PC, then you can opt for the x64 variant for more stable frame-rates, but if you’re playing the game on a high-end machine then you can go with the x128 variant to enjoy its breathtaking textures.
