Dragons are pretty much the ultimate enemy, the sort of thing you kind of expect to fight at the end of an epic quest. It’s no surprise that the strongest monster in Minecraft is the Enderdragon and it’s also no surprise that people occasionally make resource packs which focus on these mythical beasts. While the Dragon Legacy resource pack doesn’t reskin any mobs to make them look like dragons, it does have a distinctive Skyrim look and feel to it, and anyone who has played Skyrim before knows all about how many dragons there are in that game. This pack does have some positive points though.
For one, it makes all of the different villager types easy to tell apart. Normally you can see when you’re talking to a librarian, priest or butcher, but blacksmiths and farmers kind of look the exact same. With the Dragon Legacy pack installed, every villager has its own unique look, so you’ll never confuse them again. Another nice point is the updated textures for basic and polished versions of all the new igneous rocks – granite, diorite and andesite. Most resource packs leave these textures untouched, but they all look significantly better on this pack.
This 32x resource pack doesn’t have an extreme resolution either, so most players who can run Minecraft without any issues will be able to play the game with the Dragon Legacy resource pack installed without suffering from a performance drop. Not everything about the pack is good, though. The compass doesn’t work at all with this pack, and that’s kind of a big deal for players who use them to help navigate. Of course, if you just convert the compass into a map, those work fine and you’ll still be able to find your way.
