The one thing you’ll probably notice from the Faboopack resource pack is that textures are painted on all sides. That’s not really the best way to put though. Ok. Do you know how grassy dirt blocks are green on top, but brown on the bottom and sides? Well this pack makes them green on every face, not just the top one. It does this to a handful of other blocks too, but since grassy dirt is probably the first one you’ll see, it’s probably the first one you’ll notice too. Faboopack does more than just changing the paint on a handful of textures though.
This pack looks good overall because of the 128x resolution. Considering Minecraft is at 16x resolution standard, this means textures in the Faboopack resource pack have about 8 times as many pixels per texture, on average. They don’t all look 8 times better, but many of the textures do. Even simple ones like wooden blocks and planks look great, and cobblestone blocks look like real chunks of stone molded together rather than just cubic piles of rocks. Lava and water graphics are also top notch, and the animations for both are flawless, leaving little to be desired from liquids in this pack.
Besides the sharper textures and new coloring for some blocks, Faboopack is also a lot brighter than vanilla Minecraft. You also get several construction blocks which have had their solid faces replaced with multiple squares, to create a kind of tile effect. These tiles come in multiple colors too, so you could create all kinds of buildings and rooms you normally couldn’t thanks to Faboopack. It’s decent and versatile, so it’s worth a look for most players.
