Oiled is quite a creative resource pack because it’s been designed with the goal of improving the look of Minecraft’s textures without changing their core style in any major way. We’ve seen tons upon tons of packs before that attempt to maintain the art style of Minecraft while simultaneously improving its textures but most of these packs don’t really succeed in doing what they’re designed for so they aren’t really worth anyone’s while. However, thanks to creative design techniques, the Oiled resource pack succeeds in making the textures look significantly better while preserving the core art style that defines Minecraft.
As you can tell by the name, the Oiled resource pack gives a more oily touch to the visuals of Minecraft. Oiled definitely has some of the most unique looking textures we’ve seen in a pack of this particular category and, due to this, it’s more than worth trying out because it’s sure to give you an experience that’s refreshing and immersive. The textures themselves seem to carry quite a bit of detail in them and, alongside this, they’re accompanied by a solid color palette as well so there’s no doubt that you’re going to like what you see. Perhaps the most impressive thing about the pack’s textures is the fact that they seem to lack any noticeable amount of noise which is why they give off a pretty smooth look.
The textures of the Oiled resource pack have a resolution of x64 and this is quite a step above the usual x16 so it’s highly recommended that you utilize this pack on a computer with decent hardware because it’s likely to lag on PCs with low-end specs.
