Old Default Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.11

Old Default is without a doubt one of the most unorthodox resource packs that you can get for Minecraft. The pack is based on a very peculiar concept but, surprisingly enough, it’s received a lot of positive feedback from those who’ve used it. Almost all Minecraft resource packs are designed with the purpose of taking the visuals to the next level or making them unique in some way, but that isn’t the case with this particular pack. Instead, Old Default takes a step back and reverts Minecraft’s visuals to the state that they were in back during the game’s beta stages.

Old Default is a great choice for players who want to get the nostalgic feeling of old Minecraft back, but it’s also great for new players who want to see what Minecraft was like in its early days. We highly recommend using this pack with mods that revert certain in-game mechanics to their beta states as this would definitely lead to an immersive experience that would be highly reminiscent to what beta Minecraft had to offer. Of course, the textures of this pack aren’t really all that revolutionary or groundbreaking since they’re ultimately meant to be a downgrade but, for those who are in search of nostalgia, they’re still great.

The Old Default resource pack has a resolution of 16×16 which is fitting because this has always been the vanilla resolution for Minecraft. This low resolution also means that you’ll have absolutely no trouble getting the pack to run, even if you’re playing Minecraft on a PC that can be considered old or outdated.
